Christian Education

Maurice Valentine, Sunday School Superintendent

St. Mark offers many biblically based opportunities to grow in the knowledge of God. Our goal is to provide instruction in various venues that are conducive for learning, fellowship, and worship.

Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn.

Additionally, the Sunday School Ministry sponsors our Annual Christmas, Easter, Black History Celebration, Vacation Bible School, Church Picnic and Harvest Festival.

The New Members class is designed to educate our new members on the principles of the Gospel and welcome them into the St. Mark Family. During this 9-week class, new members are assisted in identifying their God given talents and are encouraged to become involved in one or more of St. Mark’s many ministries. We invite you to attend the New Members’ class and Bible Study.

Staff: Frances Davenport, Lenora Dugas, Diane Spurlin,  Staff Assistants: Brandi Bailey, Kennedy Robinson & Courtné Smith

Children’s Church provides an interactive worship experience for children ages 5 – 12, and is held on the 3rd and 4th Sundays. Students will experience games, music, and Bible lessons that connect them with the Good News of Jesus Christ in a fun and exciting way! It is our goal to provide a quality Christian foundation for our children in a loving, caring, fun, and Godly environment.
